The subject of this musical tale is inspired by a Vietnamese legend, alove story between a Vietnamese princess and a Chinese prince which took place a long time ago in the History of Vietnam.

From the Dragon of Water and the Spirit of Fire were born the Hundred Men, ancestors of the Vietnamese. Their kingdom is guarded by a magic crossbow, bequeathed by the Golden Turtle, genius of the Mekong River, a crossbow that has defeated all its enemies’ armies.
