Chants libres

This programme is presented in partnership with Musicatreize, as part of the « Chants libres, choral art festival of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation »

23 – 25 june 2023

« Chants libres, a choral art season of the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation » brings together, since 2021, eleven choirs, choirmasters and associations that perform, from June to December, in the course of a hundred or so performances, all under the sign of newfound freedom.

This year, the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation mandates Musicatreize/CNAV for the artistic organisation of a weekend dedicated to vocal art.

Musicatreize proposes to intervene in Draguignan and in the Dracénie region.

Freedom for the artists who have been given free rein to imagine concerts and musical moments that allow them to reinvent and reenchant their practice.

In June 2023, Musicatreize will be piloting the operation in the Var with the programming of three main events:

_Sung walks in the city of Draguignan for short festive moments in various and sometimes incongruous places. The public will be able to follow, on foot, or choose a particular meeting place in advance.

_Concerts in more traditional formats: church, auditorium, theatre… To open and close the weekend, the Musicatreize Ensemble offers two concerts with three new creations, in the presence of the composers: Ivan Fedele, Edith Canat de Chizy and Gianvincenzo Cresta.

_Routes through the emblematic villages of the Dracénie offering concerts in suitable locations
